Looking for a summer job where teamwork & behind-the-scenes magic come together? Join our Lodging Crew and help keep our Shambhalodging zone running from setup to teardown.
These full-time, temporary positions will work from May until August, 27, 2026 on the festival site near Salmo, BC.
The Lodging Crew will play a pivotal role in ensuring the setup and upkeep of accommodations for event participants, as well as the post-show teardown. This includes overseeing site selection and access to lodging facilities, offering support and assistance to attendees with lodging-related questions, and collaborating closely with other event teams to maintain a seamless lodging operation. Additionally, the team is responsible for upholding cleanliness and safety standards in all lodging areas. To effectively meet the demands of the event, team members must be available to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts, to accommodate event schedules and attendee needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in moving all equipment within the Lodging area (tents, air mattresses, etc.).
Keep the area clean and remove all garbage.
Set-up/tear-down tents, air mattresses, and other amenities, ensuring items are clean or are packaged to be cleaned.
Assist with landscaping duties.
Assist with any minor construction to be completed.
Assist with decorating and installing lighting as needed.
Inventory leftover supplies and equipment, keeping neat and accurate records.
Regularly conduct walkthroughs in lodging areas to greet and engage with guests, ensuring their well-being and addressing any needs or concerns.
Taking care of the hospitality needs of Shambhalodging guests and addressing any concerns immediately.
Driving vehicles and/or eBikes to complete tasks.
Ensure hours worked are documented, signing in and out with your Supervisor.
Attend daily tailgate meetings with your supervisor at the beginning of your shift.
Assess equipment and report any faulty or damaged equipment to the Lodging Manager or Supervisor.
Acquire necessary equipment to accomplish tasks.
Scrutinize systems for flaws and areas to improve efficiency.
Report any discrepancies, potential issues or hazards to the Supervisor immediately, assist in remedy of the situation.
Refines processes and keeps learning best practices.
Perform additional tasks as requested.
Qualifications:
Experience working with basic tools - Training can be provided on-site for the right candidates.
Experience being part of a team and working toward a common goal.
Relatively fit and healthy and able to lift up to 50 pounds (will have to walk long distances on farm).
Experience setting up camping equipment is an asset.
Landscaping is an asset.

Pay Rate
$20.50 per hour
