Site Manager

This full-time, temporary position starts ASAP until late October 2026. Potential to continue will be evaluated post-festival.
Work Location: The Site Manager will work primarily at the festival site near Salmo, BC. Some work will also be done as needed from our shop in Salmo.
The Site Manager will supervise and oversee the direction of the festival site project as it relates to the Site team. The Site Manager must plan, organize and direct the operational activities, ensuring that the festival's performance and safety requirements are maintained. Must review progress and liaise with the Site Director and Finance departments to ensure that operational constraints are operating within boundaries, including timesheets, safety, inventory, notices to staff on daily changing workloads,
Roles and Responsibilities:
Participate and deliver Daily Safety Meetings, and all other Safety compliance forms that are required as needed.
Prioritize and manage timelines of multiple existing and new projects and manage operating workforce.
Oversee and manage the maintenance and upkeep of existing and new site-related infrastructure with the guidance, when needed, of the Construction Manager.
Report and work efficiently with teams to establish task and milestone accomplishments using BCamp
Coordinate and support Site Supervisors and all Site workers.
Develop and maintain a safe work environment for all site departments (HSE, Worksafe BC, WHMIS, etc) and conduct ongoing safety audits and reviews and documents through SiteDocs.
Manage resources for optimal operational and logistical efficiency.
Ensure that all public health standards are met for areas of water, air, waste, as well as all WorkSafe standards for all workers on site.
Communicate with Site Supervisors/Managers extra duties to be carried out for the day.
Complete daily timesheets and log ensuring all records are maintained and provide reports to fellow managers as assigned.
Compile, inventory, and submit a kit list for the Site department based off of previous year consumption and current fall inventory.
Handle effective radio communications.
Ensure all Site crew are compliant with timekeeping and attendance and that all site timesheets are filled out accurately and timely.
Sign off on direct Site worker related timesheets each pay period.
Enforce all workplace policies and procedures and nurture a safe work culture.
Risk assessments and decisions on the value of resources as it relates to budgetary considerations.
Working and living in a sometimes dynamic and challenging environment while keeping professional and compassionate relationships.
Dexterity in managing different layers of governance from company to front line business partners.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Manage the overnight crew during showtime to ensure all needs are being met for training, signoff on hours, and fielding questions.
Manage hazards and risks as they come up over night and handle each one in the appropriate manner as outlined in training and SMF policies.
During the offseason, when not overseeing crew or performing active managerial duties, this role supports a range of assigned projects and operational tasks to maintain year-round employment within the company or on behalf of its affiliated companies.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience in project management, team management, construction, maintenance and similarly related fields.
At least 2 years experience in the events industry (can be inclusive of the construction/project management experience).
Ability to use, understand, and communicate effectively with various software programs, apps, and communications.
Must provide and wear CSA-approved steel-toe boots suitable for all scheduled shifts and work conditions.
Effective team manager with clear demonstrative skills and an ability to communicate at all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of fundamentals of the technical trades and an ability to manage interpersonal relationships with tradespeople.
Possesses above-average administrative skills
Strong project management skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to work in the mornings, evenings and overnight in all weather conditions and to communicate clearly and efficiently
Ability to smile in the face of challenge and constantly changing environment while keeping up the morale of your surrounding teammates with your own positive attitude.
Ability to work in a culturally diverse work space without personal judgments or bias.

Pay Rate:
