HR Catering Administrator
Can you think fast and navigate high-pressure situations with tact? We’re looking for an HR Catering Administrator to help keep crew meals running smoothly and accurately.
These full-time, temporary positions run from June 29 to July 29, 2026.
Work Location: The work will be primarily at the festival site near Salmo, BC.
As the Catering Administrator, the primary responsibility is to accurately allocate meals to crew members arriving at the Crew Kitchen in accordance with their team’s master schedule, ensuring precision and efficiency in meal distribution. They will understand and employ HR software and protocols to ensure meal numbers are accurate.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Accurately schedule and allocate meals within the software system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Effectively manage and resolve issues arising from crew ID badge scans at the Crew Kitchen, ensuring seamless and efficient processing while troubleshooting.
Enforce and communicate meal rules to ensure fairness and efficiency in distribution. Politely decline individual requests for exceptions, emphasizing the need for a consistent approach to maintain an equitable environment for all crew members.
Regularly review and verify schedules to ensure accuracy, addressing any conflicts or discrepancies promptly.
Identify opportunities for improvement in the meal assignment and schedule management processes.
Proactively seek feedback from stakeholders to refine and optimize meal assignment and scheduling procedures.
Complete and submit all necessary paperwork before, during, and after the festival to guarantee comprehensive and accurate documentation..
Uphold high standards of organization and accuracy in meal distribution activities, promoting a positive and streamlined experience for crew members.
Collaborate with other relevant departments to address any logistical challenges and contribute to the overall success of the catering operation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous administrative experience required.
Prior experience in administration within a festival or event setting is an asset.
Experience with festivals and events is an asset.
Experience using Google Docs and Microsoft OS and proven ability to learn new software.

Ability to adapt to dynamic festival conditions and changing priorities, ensuring flexibility in responding to unexpected challenges.
Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues related to meal allocation and inventory management.
Experience working collaboratively in a team environment, fostering effective communication and cooperation to achieve common goals.
Ability to work in a culturally diverse workspace without personal judgments or bias.

Pay Rate:
